you This is one of my favorites!! Do you ever just feel like you want to turn off the news and forget about how the world is getting? I do!! But we must put our trust in God and pray every day!! Pray that things will get better, that there are no more school shootings, no more hate, and that everybody can just get along!
You know the saying if everybody had a heart like a dog this world would be a much better place! I believe it!!! A dog’s love is unconditional!! With almost 250 guests that have stayed with us my heart is always full of love and laughter! Each one of them with their own personality and each one with a heart of gold! Life is worth living when you have a dog to love, and I am so lucky to be able to love on so many!! We are glad that winter is about over (we are not your cold weather people lol) and we have stayed busy this winter, but we are looking forward to Spring and Summer! We have so many new guests that are going to be staying with us and we can’t wait to meet each of you!! Of course, we always look forward to our repeat customers too!! So, if you have vacation plans don’t wait too long to make your dog’s vacation plans too! We know that they will love it here in the country!! From the bottom of our hearts thank you for putting your trust in us for your dog boarding needs! As always be sure and check out our website www.countrybarkboarding.com and like us on Facebook and @countrybarkboarding1 on Instagram. We can’t believe it has been a year since we first started the building and establishing of Country Bark Boarding and what an amazing year it has been!! Since June we have had a little over 200 guests stay with us and they have come in all shapes and sizes and from all over! We have had guests from McMinnville, Manchester, Dunlap, Rock Island, Viola, Memphis, Altamont, Beech Grove, Spring Hill, Hendersonville, Franklin, Milton, Murfreesboro. and one all the way from Colorado! As they say, “build it and they will come” and we are so blessed that you have chosen us for your dog boarding needs!! We have loved getting to know all our customers and their fur babies and the new friendships we have made! We could not have done any of this with out the support of our family and friends so THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts for helping us get started with this adventure we are on! We are loving every minute of it and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2018!! (Who knows can we see an expansion coming?) 😊
Hope everyone has a great New Year! Danny and Charlotte P.S. You know it is never too early to make those Spring Break and Summer reservations! ![]() “but those who hope in Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31 Do you ever have one of those nights where you can’t sleep you toss and turn and your mind just won’t shut off no matter how hard you try? So you get out of bed quietly get a cup of coffee and you go and sit and you keep thinking. It is 3 am and I have my cup of coffee in hand! I have been told that I over think a lot and I am trying to work on that and its hard, but I think I am getting better… the past few months have been a good test for over thinking, especially when you are pursuing your dream of starting your own business, stepping away from a job with a regular paycheck, you think of every possible thing that could go wrong but you have to have the faith that God is by your side and he will get you through it no matter how big or little the problem may be, God is good! Today would have been my dad’s 88th birthday, he passed away when I was 13 of cancer. I always wonder what my life would have been like if he had lived, and I am not sure it would have been much different. But I do know he would be proud of me no matter how my life had turned out and knowing that I am finally doing something that I love at the age of 47. I think he would have been extra proud. 😊So if you are thinking of trying something new or changing careers I say go for it! You will never know until you try!! We have had a busy past month at Country Bark Boarding and a busier month ahead of us. We have had a lot of first time visitors and some returning to make their second visit with us which makes us happy!! More than anything we want your dog to feel safe and loved while staying with us. Being a small kennel, we can only board a limited number at a time. This gives us the chance to get to know your dog and give them the attention they need while you are away. Each dog has their own space so they are not stressed out by another dog being in their territory, we all know that each dog has their own personality and this is what makes them special! We want them to be able to maintain their individuality while staying with us. They say the first year of starting a business is to get established and I am grateful to everyone that has helped us in our first few months! It has been nothing but overwhelming! If you need something to do over the next few weeks we would love for you to come join us at the Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, September 20 from 12-1 for our ribbon cutting ceremony. We are looking forward to being a part of the Chamber and all they have to offer. We also will have a booth at the Autumn Street Fair downtown McMinnville on Saturday, October 7th. We would love for you to stop by and see us! Well my quiet time is about over and alarms will be going off soon, let’s all continue to pray for all those effected by these hurricanes, I just can’t imagine what they must be going through. Thanks for taking the time to read my post! Hope everyone has a great start to the Fall Season!!! Charlotte And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again, he says” “Here am I, and the children God has given me.” Hebrews 2:13
As I sit here this morning thinking about the past two months and how incredible they have been, I can’t think of anything more to say except Thank You! Thank you to all my family, and friends for believing in me, encouraging me, and trusting me. I could not have done any of this without your love and support. To my husband Danny who is my biggest supporter and encourager and who has unbelievable talent in anything he does I love you with all my heart and thank you for allowing me to do what I love and for teaching all the dogs to use the doggie doors. To my mom thanks for the laughs and talks every day, without you I would not be where I am today and not doing what I love. You have taught me so much about life and I only hope that I can be like you when I grow up. 😊 To my brothers Mark and David thanks for being proud of me, you will never know how happy that makes me. I love getting your phone calls and texts asking me how it’s going. I love you both dearly! John-Thomas thank you for helping me when I need it, and I believe you get your love and compassion for animals from your mom! To all my friends who have helped get the word out about Country Bark Boarding thank you! I honestly believe that without you all we would not have gotten off to such a great start! Danny and I would like for everyone to know that with school starting back next week I have decided to give Country Bark Boarding my full attention and will not be returning this fall. I want to be available for you whenever you may need us. So, keep spreading the word! Country Bark Boarding would love for your fur baby to come stay with us!! Hope everyone has a great day!! Charlotte www.countrybarkboarding.com Where do I start? First I want to say Thank you to all of our family and friends who have supported and prayed for us as our journey began with the building and opening of Country Bark Boarding. The past few weeks have been nothing but incredible. And as of today we have been able to love on 36 of the most loveable dogs and each one of them have stolen a piece of my heart! I had no idea how rewarding this journey was going to be until I walk into the barn every morning between 5:30 and 6:00 to start our daily walks and all those sweet faces are looking at you and so excited to see you! I truly believe this is something I was meant to do. So it took me 47 years to get here, but hopefully I will have a lot more years to go!
Now I am not saying I have not been overwhelmed the last few weeks. Let’s just say I sleep really well at night and I actually sleep till the alarm goes off. But when you are out walking or playing with the dogs or cleaning the kennels and your husband looks at you and tells you how proud he is of you it makes all this worth it. This has truly been a blessing in my life and I have made some great new friends along the way. Danny and I really enjoy talking to each of our customers and getting to know you. We all have something in common and that is the love for our dogs. So from the bottom of my heart Thank you. Thank you for allowing us to love your dog just like it was our own. We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! Charlotte ![]() “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 I can’t believe it has been 4 months since our journey began. Danny might say it has been a long 4 months, but to me they have flown by. Every day that passes I know we are getting closer to being able to open Country Bark Boarding. We have accomplished so much and we continue to work daily and I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Needless to say this hasn’t been an easy task. When Danny and I first talked about doing this I just thought it would be SO easy to remodel the barn and put in kennels. Well Danny knew the task he was taking on and still did it anyway. He was determined to make this work and he has done an outstanding job, and I can’t wait till it is completely finished and everyone can see it! We are going to have the most unique rustic looking kennel around! (It’s even going to have shiplap lol)!! I know summer is getting closer and school is almost out (18 days but who is counting right?) Everyone is starting to make vacation plans, and while you are doing that I hope you will think of us when you need somewhere for your pet to stay. I have already kept a few small dogs (even though the kennels aren’t ready they stayed with us in the house), and I promise you I had the best time! I just know in my heart that this is what I am supposed to be doing. I had so much fun and I think my furry friends did too! 😊 Although we don’t have a definite opening date yet we are still hoping to be able to open the first of June. I have already had several people contact me about dates, so if you already know when you might be needing us let us know and I can put you on the calendar! I want to thank everyone for the support we are getting! I hope you all know how much it means to us! We are getting such good feedback everywhere we go. So please keep spreading the word!! Also be sure and check out our website www.countrybarkboarding.com it tells all that we are going to offer and what we require and prices. Please if you have any questions you can call/text me at 931-607-3118 or email me at countrybarkboarding@gmail.com. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I hope everyone has a great day! Charlotte Have you ever heard the saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” we know exactly what this means! We are working hard, and we are finally ready to pour the floor for the second phase of the kennel. Phase 1 consisted of 3 kennels, a large wash room, and the office. Phase 2 will consist of 6 more kennels each with an outside run. This month has also consisted of shopping! 😊 We found this place in Beechgrove called Tink’s, some of you may know of it, but if you ever need windows and doors or just about anything for your home this is the place to go! We got all the doors and windows for the kennel!! One stop shopping my favorite!!
I really need to give a shout out to Danny for all his hard work. He is taking this old barn and turning into a kennel with a lot of character. It is our Fixer Upper and Chip and Joanna would be so impressed! I am truly blessed that he has this talent and can do this for us! Sure, it would have been a lot easier just to have someone come in and build something new, but to me this has a lot more meaning to it knowing that it was all built with his hands! I really can’t wait for it to be finished and you all can see it! I want to thank everyone for all the support we are getting and we are hoping that you will trust us with your pet and bring them to Country Bark Boarding when you go on vacation. Please let us know if you have any questions and be sure and check out our website www.countrybarkboarding.com we are updating it regularly! Hope everyone has a great day! Thought it might be time for an update. Danny and I have been working hard this month from drawing plans, to tearing down walls, leveling dirt, shoveling gravel, putting in plumbing and drains, to pouring concrete, and then start putting up new walls, and this is just only half of the barn! Danny decided it would be easier to do half at a time which I am glad. (Don’t think I would have been much help if he poured all the concrete in one day!) We have been lucky so far with the weather. The only bad part is the WIND! I promise you the wind here is ridiculously crazy! It can be calm one minute and the next it is carrying you off! If there is one thing that Danny Hutchins does not like it is the wind! We are keeping our fingers crossed that February will bring us some good working days too! We are hoping for great success with Country Bark Boarding. We have had wonderful feedback from friends and family and we hope to earn your trust with allowing us to keep your beloved pet. Whether it be for one night, a week, or more. We will love them and treat them like our own, and believe me ours are spoiled!! We know there is nothing like having a dog that loves you more than he/she loves himself. I went to see the movie A Dog’s Purpose yesterday. Yes I know there have been lot’s of controversy over this movie, but let me tell you it is a good movie. Of course I cried and laughed, but I realized that a dog’s purpose is to play with you, and to love you, and to be in the now. And I will treasure each every day that I have with my dogs, just like I will your dogs when they come to stay at Country Bark Boarding. Thanks again for taking the time to read our post, and please continue to pray for us as we continue working on Country Bark Boarding. Have a great day and I hope February brings lots of love and happiness to each of you!!! Charlotte and Danny Jan 01, 2017 6:18am Check out my first blog post!! We have some exciting news to share!! JANUARY 1, 2017 The first day of a New Year! It’s time to reflect on the past year and to look forward to the New Year! It is like the first page of a new book and you can start that paragraph anyway you want to! It is all up to you! And this year I have decided that my book is going to be a non-fictional book! Have you ever had a time in your life that you wanted to do something different with your life, but you were not sure what you wanted to do? Some may call this a mid-life crisis 🙂 or maybe they are just looking for something to make a difference in their life to have a purpose. Well that was me. Don’t get me wrong, I have an amazing life with a wonderful family and all that I could ever ask for but I was struggling, something was missing. Then one Sunday back in the fall I was sitting in Church with my mom and the sermon that day was “How Big Is Your Kingdom Dream?” I thought okay this is a sign. God was telling me it is time for me to make a dream I have in to reality. I mean let’s face it we are not getting any younger, and if I really want to do this why put it off any longer? I have an amazing husband who has always supported me and who can do anything, we have the land and the barn so with a little sweat, determination, and a lot of prayer ( oh and my love for animals) we can make this dream come true. With all that being said I hope you will follow us on our journey as we begin the building process of making a dream into reality and as our new business of COUNTRY BARK BOARDING you will want to bring your 4 legged friends to stay with us while you are away on vacations, business trips, or just need a break! We will love your pups just like our own! We will offer a clean, safe, and of course fun environment so you won’t have to worry about them while you are away! I thank you for taking the time to read my post. Please continue to pray for us as we begin this journey! We are so excited and looking forward to this next chapter of our lives!! Stay tuned! Hope you all have a wonderful day and the best of best New Year!! Charlotte P.S. If you need us we will be in the barn! You can follow our journey at www.countrybarkboarding.com |
